MUST SEE// BBC Wonders of the Universe

For the past year or so I have been hooked on BBCs Wonders of the Universe and Wonders of the Solar System. It is amazing how simple Brian Cox explains the wonders on our planet and the rest of the great universe.

This is probably one of the most amazing places I went to in Thailand. Next thing I want to do with this photo is to make a 100×100 poster and look at it every day until one day I go back and spend more than 24 hours in paradise.

Cala & Jade / Mardou & Dean / The Denim Bag Journey

(film by Kavar Singh and Daniel McStay)

My dear friend Tina, co-founder of Cala & Jade, invited me to come over to Oslo to take part at their launch party for the new collaboration collection with Mardou & Dean. The result is so cool and to die for. Oily jeans that will wear off, travel bags in all sizes and signature bags most of C&J fans already love in a new suit. Cannot wait until they hit the stores around August.

By the way, the film is truly amazing and worth a second look.

In Between Something Beautiful / The Movie

I made a Super 8 film for my final major project back in 2008 whilst studying in London. It is a result of many months of research and mistakes, and I’m so happy to share it with you, finally!

(film by missvike, featuring Amelia Karlsen og Kine Bakke, music by Sabres of Paradise – Smoke Belch and Bonobo – Transmission94)

In between something beautiful is a project from UCA graduate Caroline Vike, who challenges the usage of  “broken” fashion items. Using her own damaged clothes she takes recycling one step further and opens up a discussion about throwaway fashion. After finding it difficult to throw away her own damaged items she decided she wanted to accept and celebrate the items flaws and errors by making a Super 8 film. Then breathing new life into them by reinventing their usage and by keeping the original shape of the item.
