MUST READ // OUR MAN IN BEIRUT BY NASRI ATALLAH

March 28, 2012 § 1 Comment

My dear friend Nasri has finally published his first book based on his blog, Our Man in Beirut. I’ve been nagging him on twitter to send me a copy and today it finally arrived :) It’s a must read and whilst the writer himself is flying between NYC, Paris, London and Beirut, I find inspiration in his┬ácourage to do what he really wants to do and remember the advice I once gave him back in 2008; if you want something, go and get it. I need to start following my own advice…

MUST HAVE NOW // CORALIE BICKFORD-SMITH

January 4, 2012 § Leave a comment

For quite some time I have been dreaming of a row of books I once saw on a blog. Did not remenber the name of the blog nor the authour of the books. All I knew was that they had texture, colour and a personal touch that made me want them. Little did I expect that over a year later I would find the same books on Design*Sponge. Whilst reading the post I soon found out that it was not one author of these books, and they were classic books re-designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith. To my suprise she has also designed some amazing bookcovers for F. Scott Fitzgerald in gold, black, silver and white.
